La Premiere Journee

A fresh mind and rested body go a long way.

My first full day of Paris has been extremely relaxing. It began with welcoming my new roommate into the house and got exponentially better from there. After we settled into the room we went to have our first Parisian lunch. Looking at our home one would think we lived in the suburbs, but down a flight of stairs and one street over is a busy city full of perfect cafes, shops, and markets.

Front door of the house.

The steps into the city.

First lunch with a glass of Bordeaux!

After lunch we relaxed at home because it began to rain. By 5PM the storm had cleared and we were ready for happy hour! We found a great place called Bar Metro (or something of that kind, will confirm later). We decided that one goal of this trip is to become regulars at one bakery/cafe/lounge/etc. This one has plenty of potential. Every drink came with 2 small dishes; one with olives the other with nuts.

Got home around 8 right before dinner and just in time for a beautiful sunset!
